Cross all the items off the wedding list with the help of quick and safe home delivery

There is no time when a couple need the services of reliable parcel delivery companies more than when they are setting up home together. Getting married and moving into a new home are – when taken individually – two of the most stressful times in anyone’s life, as has been shown by regular surveys.

But while there is no magic formula or short cut which can help alleviate the hassle involved in the former, there are plenty of companies with massive resources ready to help make the latter much easier.

With increasing numbers of couples setting up home together having already lived singly in separate houses for a considerable time, the typical wedding present list has taken on a vastly different look from what would have been the norm just a generation ago.

Nowadays, many people enter married life already well supplied with the essential items they need to set up a home. That makes devising a wedding gift list more difficult, but conversely, the growth in online shopping now means that, no matter how unusual the request, there is usually a specialist supplier selling it via the internet.

Online retailers realise that having a glamorous, attractive shop-front is only an optional part of a business offering. Customers today put reliable and prompt delivery close behind the actual availability of the products they are looking for in making a choice of where to shop for their essentials – and those little luxuries too. Indeed, shopping online for every item on a typical wedding list makes the whole process far easier and less stressful than ever, because it is possible to locate the exact item required, and usually to find somewhere which has it available for immediate delivery, rather than having to wait weeks, and sometimes months, for it to arrive in stock.

Compiling a wedding list is a delicate art, but at least a couple can now be sure of exactly what they want, and point their guests to exactly the right place where it can be found, rather than running the risk of their requests being misunderstood, or even disregarded completely.

Many retailers have extended their offerings of a wedding list service to their online shopping portals, and when there are so many other jobs to be done when planning the nuptials, a couple are sure to appreciate the time saved on using these facilities, and then having the items quickly and reliably delivered to their door.

Carriers such as Parcelforce have excellent track records in delivering precious items safely. Using an online ordering service and home delivery for special gifts will usually ensure that they are handled with care and respect.

Choosing Tableware as Part of a Wedding List

The versatility of tableware has made it a very popular choice in wedding lists for a long time. As newlyweds starting a life together in a new home, tableware is the perfect wedding gift. It will definitely help complete your household items and you will be able to save some money for other things that you did not receive as wedding gifts.

There are many choices of tableware pieces available in the market today. There are varieties of designs to choose from, such as generic, contemporary, classic and even vintage designs. Choosing the right tableware pieces and design is very important. The design should be timeless, and yet each tableware pieces should be practical. Choose a range of tableware that would be used every day but also think of some of the unusual pieces you have always wanted and include those on your wedding list as well.

Those pieces might include:-

gravy boat, soup bowls, pasta bowls, noodle bowls, rice bowls, and many other specialty items.

Some tableware brands come with matching cutlery, so you might want to consider those because it is relatively inexpensive to buy matching cutlery than getting them separately.

Before choosing the tableware, you should pay attention to the after sale services offered by the manufacturers. Certain tableware brands offer warranties and this is beneficial, should any of the pieces not last as long as the manufacturer claims. Some tableware manufacturers have customer database, where you can register your purchases and keep a record of the tableware range you have bought. These can be extremely useful in the event of dropping one of your treasured plates and then trying to find a matching replacement.

Always check whether tableware pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. They should also be able to stand extreme hot or cold temperatures, especially if they are to be used in the oven, fridge or freezer. Pottery decorated with metallic paint should not be used in microwave or dishwasher, and glassware made of lead crystal should not be washed in a dishwasher as the detergent may cause it to lose its shine.

Depending on your needs, you can choose tableware for formal or casual occasions. Even though your are just staring out in married life think about all the different kind of occassions that lie ahead for you such as dinner parties, family gatherings and seasonal occasions such as Easter and Christmas. During these occasions, you will need a wide range of tableware to serve the many guests. For formal affairs, choose designer or customised dinnerware, along with beautiful silverware cutlery and pretty glassware. Essential pieces that should be included are basic dinnerware items such as serving plates and bowls, full cutlery sets, and glassware such as red and white wine glasses, tumblers and a water jug.

Choosing the right table and dinnerware as part of a wedding list will ensure you have pieces that will last a very long time. It is good to invest in practical and versatile tableware pieces that will last rather than buying cheap pieces that may cost more to replace in the long term. High quality, beautifully designed pieces are not only valuable but they are great conversation starters.

Your Wedding Guest List

As soon as people learn about your engagement, they begin to wonder whether or not they are invited. Determining, at least a rough draft, of your guest list should be one of the first steps in the planning process. How many people you invite is mostly determined by your budget.

Your guest list will have an impact on almost everything you need to plan for in your wedding such as your reception venue, your wedding cake, the number of invitations, and more.

You can start with as many names in your list as you like, then you have to go through the filtering process. You and your fiancée should individually list every one you’d like to invite. Invite your parents to make their own lists, especially if they are paying for the wedding. Compare your lists, if necessary, compromise.

The easiest way to reduce the number is to cross off the duplicates from each list. Working together you’ll be able to reduce the list to your preferred number of guests. The best guest list is big enough to make everyone happy and small enough to fit your budget.

Don’t worry about inviting long lost far away friends to the wedding. The purpose of inviting people is to have your closest friends and loved ones near you on this special day. The goal is not to invite as many people as you can unless you are a celebrity hungry for publicity.

There are few very important factors to consider when finalizing your guest list:

Are you going to have an adults only reception, or do you want to invite children as well?

Are you going to invite anyone from work? For the most part, it is sufficient to invite your boss only, unless you are very close with some other coworkers.

If you have single friends, will you invite their significant others, or not? If it fits in your budget, it is best to allow fiancées and long time companions, especially if they have been part of your life.

Finalizing your guest list is an interesting exercise, and it can be a stressful experience. If you work well with your fiancée you will find it fairly easy to come up with your guest list.

My Really Fast List Of Cheap Wedding Reception Ideas

There are a ton of cheap wedding ideas out there on the internet and in wedding planning books for you.  I’m about to add ten more!

Take them all in, don’t get overwhelmed, the ones you can use, use them!  The ones you can’t, tuck them away somewhere else because who knows it may help you think of another way to save money on your wedding.

I hope you can use one of the below ideas.  If you can use all of them, that should potentially save you thousands of dollars right there.

So here’s my brainstorm of ten money saving inexpensive wedding ideas (I can’t wait to see how it turns out!)

First and foremost and most important: avoid buying things labeled as “wedding”. As an example “wedding private dance lessons” could be 0 per hour. But go to a ballroom studio for “ballroom private lessons” and you may only pay to 0. That’s a 50% discount. If you are able to apply that to EVERYTHING then your wedding budget just got cut in half.
shop for flowers in season. Avoid costly flowers not in season
keep it simple. cakes, wedding dresses, wedding favors.
simplify your menu. Eliminating a course or a choice can trim a bit. People will remember more how good the food tastes then what was actually served. Quality over quantity. So you may not want the steak or shrimp over chicken. (GO TO FOOD TASTINGS!)
borrow or barter. can you borrow a fancy sports car for transportation? if you own your own business (like website design) can you barter with a wedding vendor?
google “wholesale”. wholesale flowers, wholesale wedding favors, wholesale florists to go for cheap wedding flowers.
book a year or more in advance. You can nail down this year’s prices for next year’s wedding
buy online, especially at ebay
buy last season’s dress (April-May or October-November) which should be a cheap wedding dress compared to this year’s models
booking off-season
booking off-day (not Saturday)
booking off-time (not evening). Some of my friends hold Saturday brunch weddings. With the right elegant setting it can be quite fabulous!
for your photographer, get the negatives or cd of original images, no need to purchase prints or photo books. If you’re going to cut costs on your photographer, better to pay for high quality originals with no photos then lower quality originals and lots of prints.
buy a non-wedding cake that is three layers instead of a “wedding” cake
donate and write off (flowers, dresses, musicians who are non-profit, churches that are non-profit, venues that are non-profit)

Whew!  Brainstorming is awesome.  I hope you don’t mind I went out to fifteen ideas instead of the aforementioned ten!

The final idea, because I think it is just darn awesome, is from Erica Yoon’s Book Amazing Wedding Planning. And it has to do with the honeymoon:

“If you want a fun, exciting and cheap honeymoon, go to Las Vegas, Nevada. If you’ve heard about all the cheap gourmet food and services, I can tell you that it’s true. I happen to live just outside of Las Vegas, and it has so many gourmet foods and services that I love to jump in the car and hit the buffets for dinner.”

Think about it:) Because saving money on your honeymoon means freeing up some budget for the rest of your cheap (or not so cheap) wedding reception ideas.

Congratulations and good luck with your wedding reception planning!

You might not be able to control the weather but you can certain contain most other things concerning your wedding.

1 – Find a venue for your wedding. Perhaps you already have a place in mind, or you may still be undecided on where to get married. Remember- many venues will book up way in advance, especially in summer months.

2 – Apply for your wedding licence and book the church or registrar. You’ll be surprised to hear that in some locations registrars also get booked up, so you need to book in advance. It’s worth checking this out before you commit money to a venue. Of course if you are planning a church wedding then the priest will marry you!

Free Christian Wedding Songs – The List That You Will Need

Music, in one way or another, directly affects any social event. No matter what type of music you are using, be it performed by a live band, played on CD, or sang by a solo performer, music will definitely determine the mood of the occasion.

Wedding day is not an exception. In a wedding, it is expected that there will always be music played in the air. And because wedding is supposed to be a love filled occasion, everybody will be expecting that love songs will be played through out the entire event.

But this does not mean that you should stick with the traditional tunes. You can be creative in choosing the music to be played in this special day. However, your choices must fit to corresponding parts of the occasion. What I mean is, you cannot play pop music on the wedding ceremony. If you want to include pop songs in your play list, then you can play it during the reception. Proper timing is very important so that you will not spoil the occasion.

In wedding days, people will expect to hear different songs in every part of the event. And what they are expecting to hear is not just ordinary songs but beautiful wedding song that would speak for the couple. Everyone is expecting to hear endless list of free wedding songs.

During the wedding ceremony, different music is also played in different parts of the ceremony. For instance, different song is played during the bridal entrance, and another song should be played during the lighting of the candle. However, during the ceremony, you should be sensitive to the rules of the church from where you are going to be married. This is especially true in catholic churches. Catholic Church has certain rules concerning the music allowed to be played during the ceremony. You need to take note of that to avoid problems during the event.

No matter what your choice of music is, what’s important is that you stick to the theme of the event. Also it is important for you to take note in term of the restrictions especially in the types of music that is allowed to be played in different churches.
